Hi my candy cane coral has recently started to show its skeleton in places.

my params are all as they should be, the only thing i would say has changed is the temp is a bit high due to warm weather!!
I have brung temp down to normal using a fan.

Can anyone think why this coral would suddenly start to show its skeleton??

unfortunatly photo not possible camera broken!

too much flow is one possibility. I keep mine in medium, medium/low flow.

+1 on flow, if there is no other visible signs of damage or illness.

do you feed it? anything getting at it? I had a crab hitchhicker (one good thing about this leak is I found him) that was so big, he was popping off my candy canes completely.

There could be any number of things causing this, shift in lighting, predatory fish or invert, being attacked by another coral, is it starting to grow in shadow? Is it the only coral being affected?

I have one that was doing the same thing. I started feeding it twice a week and it has gotten better. Have you changed anything lately (food, salt, light, flow?) also are you adding anything to your tank to encouage coral growth?
