In my 90 I have 2 Skunk Shrimp and a Blood Shrimp, but I would like to have a real showpiece shrimp. I would love either a Coral Banded Shrimp, or a Pistol Shrimp. However, I've heard mixed reviews of these two species reef compatibility. I realize I wouldn't see either much, but I'm happy with every so often. I was thinking maybe a Gold Banded Coral Shrimp who wouldn't get big enough to do any real damage to any fish but would still be a nice shrimp. I have looked around and I haven't found any other interesting shrimp, but I love shrimp and I would be interested in suggestions for less common shrimp that I haven't come across.

I have a pistol shrimp and love him..however I hardly ever see him. He is in his den and only comes out to clean house with his goby.

Seems to be like a harlequin shrimp diet wise.... I just though for a show piece that it would be very cool.

just buy a starfish a week and toss it in the tank to die....that should be good for the tank ;D

as for the question, i would go for a pistol if you must, they are super kool. i had one, but he was alone i am hesetent to house him with other shrimp. I know that most people have the problems with coral banded shrimp eating one thing or another in their tank. mine was a terror till the powerhead ripped his big claw off...good luck

I like monkey shrimp in nano's more. They are so small that it's hard to see them.

A CBS and your blood shrimp/skunk shrimp are not compatible.
