I've had a Cleaner Shrimp in my tank for about a week and a half and I liked the look of it so I put in another one yesterday. Today I woke up to find a tail and legs scattered around the tank.

When I put in the new shrimp yesterday I saw the older shrimp spook it a few times, but I figured since it was new that would happen. There went $21.

never heard that happen before. but they do fill the same niche so its understandable they attack each other.

Are you sure one of the shrimp didn't just molt? Not uncommon for a shrimp to molt when being introduced into a new tank. Mine also hide for a day or so after they molt, so they may both still be in your tank.

My peppermint shrimp hid away and molted in the first few days of introduction to my tank. After he finished molting, he took care of my aiptasia, so I am no longer worried :)

Still no sign even when I fed the fish. Only the one came out, but I still see legs and the tail exoskeleton.

I would agree with the others. It probably molted and will reappear in a few days.

Still no sign of the second shrimp. Now my first shrimp is missing, I did see what looked like the exoskeleton of a head laying in the rocks so hopefully this one moulted and comes back soon.

when i first put m cleaner shrimp in, he molted within two days, and then hid under and behind the rocks. When i first saw the shell i thought he had died too. Wait a another day or so, see what happens

I don't know it has been 14 days. Could there be something else that would have gotten it instead of your shrimp?
