    just let it rot. most people don't even take it out.

    haha this is not how its done, you leave it in there until the tank has finished the cycle, then if there is anything left of it take it out as it will built up ammonia.

    ok i have it in a nylon sack i just yank it once my cycle is done.

    cycled 4 tanks this way i also use a old filter pad from one of my tanks helps with pod introduction

    i do as well, but once the tank is cycled you dont leave the shrimp in there, this was the point i was trying to make.
