I got a scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp the other day and it will NOT leave my yellow tang alone , the little b****** took the tangs hole and wont let him in, every time the tang tries to go into its hole in the rocks the satan shrimp jumps his a** and harasses the hell out of him and follows the tang around the tank trying to mess with him . I know your first thought will be that the shrimp is trying to clean the tang , but thats not what it looks like to me , and now my tang ( he's a puss) is acting weird today. anybody have any suggestions ? Im thinking about trading my shrimp in for something , Is there anything else that cleans parasites other than satan shrimp ??

Give it some time. I'm sure the shrimp is over zelious and the tang needs to get comfortable with it. I would give it a week. Try feeding the shrimp by hand (let him clean your hand) and give it some brine. That might calm it down.

well the skunk cleaner shrimp should be easy to catch when i put my hand in the tank they both  usually comes up and try to eat, i guess parasites, from my hand.  as for what else will eat parasites there are some fish like the cleaner wrasse but there a difficult fish to keep.  i have heard that fire shrimp also do this but they are less likely to do so, and mine doesn't.  But, i guess you can try, or see if there are fish in the dealers tank w/ the shrimp and see if one is doing it.

maby you just have an avid cleaner on your hands. it may have taken the hole in the rock to set up its cleaning station. cleaners will do this they live in a hole and use there antennas as flags to flag fish. they are not an aggressive shrimp and will not hurt your fish. sometimes you get a fish that doesnt liek to be cleaned. its not always 100% guarentee that your fish and shrimp will do the cleaning thing but most do. id say give it some time to adjust.
