Thanks. I'll head off to the store and pick something up for him. I do have some aiptasia in my tank for him so eat. Should I put him in before I feed him? Or should I do it the other way around?

Doesn't matter really but to be on safe side feed him n then put him in your tank that way he isn't fighting for food

I'm no shrimp expert, but I'd make sure that wasn't a camel shrimp before I threw it in.

Peppermints and camels are similar, but camels are not at all reef safe.

Peppermint. I got one a few weeks ago that looked kind of sickly like that when he got to me, but after a couple days in the tank, he looks great! Mine seem to eat flake, krill, brine, pretty much anything that comes within their reach. Good luck! They're lots of fun to watch!

Just a quick update. The shrimp seems to be doing good so far. I fed it before putting it in my tank. It walked on top of my rock work for a little bit before hiding. It came out a little while ago and I saw it snacking on one of the aiptasia in there. It also seems to have regained a lot of its color. Thanks for all the help everyone.

It is definitely not a camel shrimp IMO, coloration was just way to distant. Plus OP said it is munching aiptasia, so that is quite telling. LOL
