When I was at the LFS this past weekend picking up my YWG I asked the guy if they had any pistol shrimp in. He said they didn't but he tried to sell me something he called a shrimp lobster telling me that they acted similar to pistol shrimp. I had never heard of or seen the little guy he pointed out so I opted out of buying him. He was probably about 2-2.5 inches long and a light pink color. Really cute. Tried to find something similar online to read about them and haven't been able to find a thing. I didn't get a pic either unfortunately. Ever heard of this type of lobster before or have any info on them?

I don't know anything about them, and I've never heard of them. But, personally, I would never add anything with the name lobster to my tank. It may be a really, nice peaceful creature, but all I can imagine is some giant Maine Lobster. I'd float him in a bag in my tank and eat him for dinner, though.

I don't think so. It was pretty solid colored. Not spots or stripes that I could see.

This looks like a mantis to me.

maybe it's a snapping shrimp or a camel shrimp? or maybe a reef lobster (like: Lobsters) or maybe it was peppermint shrimp?

Never seen anything that looks like that before. Definitely not a mantis, they have unusual eyes. I would've opted out too!

It looks like somebody took a crayfish out of a creek and acclimated it to saltwater. I've never seen anything like that in a rank before now. Thanks for sharing!
