    ... came the frantic text message from my wife while I was out playing beach volleyball yesterday.

    She is new to the whole aquarium thing and didn't realize that shrimp molt ::)

    My shrip molted like 2 days after I got it, I was sad bc I thought it had died. I was so happy to find him hiding out in the rock! :)

    math is kool too!! [i am math major, which makes me a "math nerd" as well as "fish nerd"]

    but look at this way, at least you have someone else that will watch out for tank.

    My wife (Bogey977) said the same thing when she saw our skunk cleaner shrimp's molted empty shell. It's tough to explain, so I used the "soft-shelled crab" comparison - but she didn't know what soft-shelled crabs were either :confused1... so I did the long, detailed explanation

    Same happened to me when my giant hermit crab shredded eyeballs and feelers everything even hairs on its legs, i thought i bought 3 for a while till i went to take the shell out of the tank and realised it was still in there lol...
