Shutting off PH at night?

    I run my powerheads during the day and shut them off at night and just use the movement from my return pump during the night for current. If you notice the reefs/oceans during the day there is always alot of current water movement, then once the sun sets the seas turn calm...I try to replicate that as well as use the moon lights! Strong current during the day and slow it down at night time!

    Yeah I'll make another one out of pvc tonight or tomorrow, don't think I'll have time to go to Tap Plastics to grab some clear acrylic tubes but the procedure is the same just different material. acenia what size is the inlet of your PH? If it's one the has like three "step" type of sizes that's best.

    coral reefer how does your tank react when the powerheads are turned back on?

    That link doesn't say how big the inlet is. Can you measure or PM me some close up pics?
