Hello...I am sort of new to this whole saltwater tank thing...haha...recently one of my anemones turned a sort of green/purple color when orginally it was brown (like the other two in the tank). The other two are still brown but this one is looking strange--beautiful! but strange...

is this a sign of a sick anemone?? ??? i attached an image so you can check it out

    I appreciate your help!! :)

    A few things:
    1. What are all your perams (water chemistry)
    2. How old is your tank?
    3. If new - how long ago did you finish your cycle?
    4. How long has that anem been in the tank?

Once you get me that info others or myself will be able to help better. I have 2 anems and every once in a while they cycle the water in themselves (take in new water and get rid of the old so-to-speak) and they remain a very similar color to there normal but get stringier for a bit keep.

    Hope it all works out.

I would be less worried about the anemone and more worried about all the aiptasia

+1. That's gotta be one of the worse infestations I have seen.

anemone is ok it is just adapting to your tank and looks good. concern yourself when it shrivels up for a few days and don't come out. But it does look like a healthy condy

yeah...the person that was holding the tank for me didn't know much about aiptasia so it is completely out of control... I bought some drops to kill them but I can already tell that it is going to be a huge chore. Any other suggestions for me????

I didnt see it anywhere but what kind of lighting do you have this guy under?
I have heard you can get a U100 (diabetic syringe) and inject them with hot water then rip em out. I use em with out the needle for spot feeding stuff.
