I recently got a new clown tang and things started ok. Details can be found here: http://www.3reef.com/forums/tropical-fish/new-clown-tang-74215.html#post721169

To sum it up, he now has white spot and won't come out of his hidey hole.
I've tried garlic guarding the food, sill no interest.

All parameters are normal and its not affecting any of the other fish... ideas ?

The only other information of note is that the yellow had white spot recently and got over it and it didn't appear to affect any other fish so after 2.5 weeks i added the tang... Seemingly a bad choice.

ich is always in marine systems.. most marine aquariums have them, if the fish is healthy, the immune system will prevent the ich to get to the fish enough to make them sick.. clown tangs are REALLY hit or miss, and i'm sorry to say, but you probably missed.. i've tried one before as well.. these things are very very mean and they can get big real fast. it might not be a bad thing for your tank to get rid of him sadly to say..
