    I wouldent chance it get rid.......you dont know what you can get when buying live rock.

    as far as the pictures go, IMO it looks like a spounge. but i would do the sniff test to see if it rotten or not. then again if it is a spounge you risk killing it if it touches the air, but better the spounge then your whole tank. either way it doesnt look to good
