Could be a number of variables causing it not to open up!! I't is deffinitely not happy. Could be due to improper light, water paremeters not jiving, another coral(ie. Sarcophyton) releasing toxins, or unsuitable water movement.
Need some more info! Also how long have you had your Bubble?

4.8 watts per gl of light all water test are good. It has been in the tank for 6 weeks. It is placed in the middle of the tank on the sand, with moderate water flow.

Humm, you have the same wattage as me and same placement with same flow. Mine comes out great.

coral reefer may be right in that something is fighting with it. What is near it? I have my bubble and galaxea close, whew, hopefully they get along long term; so far so good. :-/
