I posted this in corals section when I was concerned. Not I'm alarmed. The spots aren't white spots rather the upper flesh is decaying in patches. I noticed the rim of my toadstool is showing the early signs as well now. What should I do? Fresh water & Iodine dip. I'm not sure but it looked like a clear/orangish speck at the toadstool affected area. Any ideas?

What exactly is sick? Is it just your softies? Like your toadstools or 1 toadstool? How long have you had the sick coral/corals? Did you purchase them together if two or more?
Often times toadstools are very hardy. They do go through a bit of an adjustment period when they are added to a new system. A day two, a week, depends. Some times they will do what is considered sloughing. They have a mucus like membrane around them when they grow or there is a change in water chemistry that they are adjusting too. I would just keep a close eye on them and not worry unless they start to shrink considerably.
Good luck ! Keep us posted . :)

Just the softies and my torch. The shrooms are groing great. One toadstool and one devils hand. The devil's hand is the one showing the worse. He is splayed out and engourged, just a lot of dead spots. The tourch is retracted to just under a half inch showing. I can see that some of the tissue has recceeded exposing the skeleton. The torch was doing great for the past month, the devils hand is a week old, started out great but has continued to show signs of rot. The toadstool is hit or miss, some days the polyps are fully extened, sometimes 20% extended other days nothing for 24hrs.

Are the leathers within reach of the torch coral? My torches are very aggressive to other corals, softies or LPS's.

It depends on "near". If you mean can one of its sweepers make contact with another coral, then no. They are within 4"-5" inches from the tip of the torches sweppers.

Do you ever brush salt creep back into the tank? Looks similar to a salt burn.

Hmmm. If you mean intentianally, never. I can't say for certian if I have ever inadvertantly done so.

I am concerned how the torch's skin is receeding exposing empty portions of skeleton though.

    Truely frustrating.
