I just got a Snoopy Wrasse yesterday and dripped him for 30 min before adding to dt, at first everything was good, then I noticed my Squirrel fish picking on him , then he would no longer swim around. I isolated him my 10 gal hospital tank last night, still alive today but not eating or swimming, just lays in the tank. The other fish in the tank are a large yellow tang, snow flake eel, picasso trigger, small lion fish, black and gold grouper, squirrel fish, lyretail wrasse. checked water and readings are as follows

    SG 29
    temp 76
    ph 8.2
    ammonia 0
    nitrite undectable
    nitrate 20

Is that the same as a bird wrasse....green/blue, long thin nose? Cool looking fish if it is.
From what I understand a squirell fish can be aggressive...actually you have some fairly aggressive fish in there. Some very cool fish IMO!

The wrasse is freaked out I bet. It had a bad couple days. Did you drip it again when you put it in the QT tank? It could be injured from the attack. I am afraid only time will tell. Try to put garlic in the food to see if you can get him to eat. I would probably leave the lights off for a couple days to allow him to settle a bit. If he makes it I dont think you will be able to put him back in the tank.

    Good luck

Well I'm sorry to say that he did not make it. He was pulled from the DT within 2 hours of being there, and put in QT. And no I did not drip him before I put him in the QT, he was dripped for about 30 min before he went into the DT, and he was only in there for about 2 hours, before I pulled him and put him in the QT. What is funny is the Squirell did not bother the Lytetail Wrasse, that was added about a month ago, and the Squirell had been there for about 5 months
