Signs your tanks nutrient levels are dropping

    I love my iPad but I was rushing this morning we had fishing/boat rental plans so I asked my kiddo to do it
    ( he's 8 )
    lol I'll fix it again
    And I just walked in sunburnt to death too
    But snapped a few pix and more xenia is dying and almost all my macro is white now too :) pix coming up soon

    So what can you do about this? Is there a way to revive what is dying? Maybe I just missed it in your thread.

    The reason it's dying is very low po4 and 0 no3
    I really dont want or care about the macro and Xenia so
    This was just a post to show my expeince with my tank

    This happens to my macros from time to time as well. I'm not sure if it's actually dying or it's doing it's sexual reproduction thing. I assumed the latter since it normally always grows back but in different locations as it creeps around my DT. I have grape calp and the fern kind like you have. They both do this.

    They could very well be dying though once using up all the po3 in the tank, or the amount being produced isn't enough to support such large plants so only small ones grow?

    So, you need phosphates/nitrates to keep macro algae healthy?
