silcone sealant?

    +1 "Not for aquarium use" is put there as a "CYA" disclaimer. "Aquarium silicone" is 100% silicone and is no different than the GE stuff (except for the pricetag).

    All I've ever used is the 100% silicone from GE by Downing. I read an article about it and it is safe for aquariums and cures slower than other silicones to bond better.Can't remember where I read that but it was from a guy who builds his own aquariums.

    I am speaking from experience, my own, and from hundreds of guys that have used this exact silicone sealant, and it is reef safe, and perfect for aquarium use.

    Of course they will tell you it is not meant for aquarium use, they want you to special order their tank silicone. Which is probably the same exact stuff in a different tube, maybe with a black pigment as well.
