Im buying a rose tip anemone or condy anemone for one of my tanks so in my basement where my ro/di setup is, i want to set up a silverslide tank, about 5 gallons with a little hob filter (no gravel or anything). I have no idea if this has ever been done but i want to feed the nem silverslides along with frozen krill ext. so what would i feed them and how many can i stuff in a 5 gallon? i assume a lot considering at my lfs they have them stuffed really close to eachother in bigger tanks but they still keep a lot in one tank. I just thought it would be a cool idea so i wouldnt have to go to the lfs every time i need a silverslide.

    Any ideas?

I think silversides eat plankton, so they are not very easy to keep alive.

I feed my anemones sally's krill. Sometimes I get silversides, but not very often.

I tried doing a google on it but nothing came up. I just figured if petco could keep them alive, im POSITIVE they arent doing anything special like plankton. Thanks for the input though!

I actually just called and they said they stopped ordering silversides because their provider stopped "providing" them so all they have is rosy reds and they eat just regular goldfish flakes. Could i go that route? i hear nems do well with rosy reds, is that true? ill try to get small ones but if their big i can cut them up and the nem can have freshly cut fish at least ;) along with a suppliment of frozen and dried krill, shrimp, ext?

I plan on that also but i just felt like blowing money ;D I dont know it sounded like a cool idea and if they were small enough for the nem to eat, i heard live food is better for it because it has to fight for it and helps it build up its grippers and make an effort to keep it.
