    If you mind getting a hydrometer instead of a refractometer, this with save you some cash. Hydrometers work very well. I recommend Instant Ocean. Good luck!

    Ok back from my vacation, did all my water tests and they are the same from last time, except the ammonia is slightly lower than it was a week ago. Should I toss in a deli fresh table shrimp to kickstart everything? Otherwise i'm seeing this cycle taking well over a month from now to finish, even though it's been running for 2 weeks straight with no difference.
