singapore angelfish diet?

well the LFS has one of these guys and im thinking of getting it but i have a question on dietary needs. i just need to know if it will eat gracilaria or not. im growing some in a one gallon under the 55 but wasnt sure if it would work or not. thanks

 

I am pretty sure that they are mostly meat eaters and will also eat microalgae, filamentous algae, and diatoms. You could try it but don't be surprized if he does in fact eat it! This angelfish is an omnivore which means it will eat plants and animals. Feed him consist of mysis or finely shaved frozen shrimp, and other meaty items. If you do that he will get more on the carnivore side than the herbivore and will forget about your gracilaria. Good Luck!

i believe sponge is another part of angels diet.

 

yea i know about sponge so ill be getting that.
