Ok, so I think my Dispar anthia is a female, I have seen pics of males and she doesn't quite look like a male. But at the same time her dorsal fin has those 2 pointy spots at the front and it's a nice purple red color. But the rest of her looks more like a female. Do females have those 2 points on the doral like the males do? I know that the most dominant one in the group will become the male and the rest stay females... Will a single anthia turn into a male if it's bought as a female? Or does there have to be more females in order for one to turn male? Just curious really... I don't care if mine is male or female... I was just wondering :p

I would say being the only one in the tank he is the dominant one so he may change

Yea that's my thoughts exactly!!! I was looking at females and comparing to males... it seems she is changing from female to male and is in the middle of the change. I only got her 3 days ago and the fins under her is starting to have a power blueish look. Her dorsal fin is a little darker and she now has a bright blue outline on the dorsal. Her pink body seems to be changing to an orangey color... She just seems to look different from when I first got her. Not quite like a full blown male quite yet, but almost.
