Well I had lost my pump a while back and my tank went down hill fast since I work offshore and didnt have anyone to replace it at the time. Needless to say I recently cleaned it all up and got the tank back up to par!

Its a 90 gallon soon to be reef tank with a 700 gph pump which is what my local marine fish store told me would be best. Anyway I plumbed it with 2 returns for more circulation and also have 1 power head. (cant remember the flow rate for it but I think its 350 gph )

    Question is..........

Reading about water movement many different species of coral and fish require different amounts of movement. Would my setup be considered medium movement?

Its obvious there is good flow in the tank at all levels but I am not sure if its considered low, medium or fast. Well figured I would throw it out there and see what some of you think.

What would you consider to be a good size pump for 2 returns on a 90 gallon tank? I know the pump I had prior was much larger in physical size then this one I would assume it was much higher flow rate also.

Also what do you think my rate of flow would be considered? Low? Medium? ( With current setup )

That would be low. I would get a pump that returns no more than 10 times the volume of your sump at about 4 foot head. Then add circulation pumps until you get 20 times the tank volume for medium flow. High flow would be 30+ times the volume of your DT.

I really have no spefic corrals in mind just stuff that is ok with my compact florescent. I have the 50/50 bulbs 65w x 4. I assume that is medium lighting.

Here are some older pictures before I lost my pump. Sorry for the quality I took them with my cell! LOL They are old when I was doing well with the tank. Had some clams, corral and several different types of fish. Little did I know at the time but my angel was eating my corrals and ended up killing my banner fish.

Rockwork looks good. If you go with corals like you had before then ylou lighting is sufficient and the flow you had before is too.
