Liveaquaria says 30g or more but a 20L is 30" long. Would it really be to small for one? I have what I think to be tiny (like the size of this " , ") flat worms in my 10g that I'm transferring. I want a fish that may eat the pests so I don't have to dose my tank with any chemicals. As of now there isn't many but I see them on the glass mixed in with pods. I don't even know if they are bad worms or not. They are a gray/brown color.

    Any info is welcome.

    TIA

I would say no. Six lines are very active swimmers and love picking at rock. I had one that used every inch of my 90 and constantly picked at rock, so I would say a 20L would be too small.

If you have a LFS near you, ask about buying a juvie and returning it for credit later. Another thought, do you know anyone near you with a larger tank that might buy or trade for it once it grows?

I have a 40 breeder, that could stand a new fish later on. Other than that I think my options are limited. I don't think my LFS gives much in the way of store credit, but I'll have to double check to make certain.

Is there any other fish that may eat the worms like a six line would, but would thrive in a 20L? I love the look of the six line and would love to be able to keep one, but this hobby isn't all about "us" it's about providing the best for our tank inhabitants. :cheesy:

I like the idea, but IMO if CoastieReefer were to do that then he would have a very hard time catching the six line. You would probably have to rip apart the rockwork. I dont have experiance with six lines, but I would think they are not easy to catch.
It was still a good idea so maybe it would work...?

K+. I'm not sure about a smaller fish that could handle that, though. I would think they'd burn through their resources and their population would fall on its own.
