i just got a six line wrasse and love him ,im thinking maybe a second ? my local store got a bunch in and im thinking why not? my friend has a pair but he said he put them in at the same time , is it a risk to put another in ??
any input would be nice , the one i just got was eating within minutes and seems peaceful to his tank mats

if you already put one in the tank they will fight to the death one will end up dead they dont like their own species at all normally one wrasse per tank unless you have a very large tank around 200 gallon and you might be able to pull it off. Your friend got luck but might have an issue down the road

I think it could be a little risky. I have a six line thats very peaceful with his tank mates. I put a fairy wrasse in the tank and he went nuts trying to attack it. Also how big is your tank?

I hear your going to have better luck with a different type of wrasse, unless you can do the mated pair thing. I'm trying to get 2 purple fire fish to pair up and while I think it's working it's been a little more stressful for me to watch than I thought. I would not recommend it.

yah i would think the second wrasse is a no go...I added a melanurs (yes spelled wrong) that my six line ended up killing, similar looking fish to the wrasse and plus if a fish that swims in his swimming columns will lead to competition for that wrasse. If I could get rid of my six line i would in a second.
