What do you guys think of this fish? Will it attack my shrimp?

They tend to be pretty non-aggressive towards shrimp but there's always the possibility that you could get a "bad apple." We've got one in our tank and it leaves the shrimp alone for the time being.

A beautiful, fun fish (and usually very modestly priced - ;) ) --- mine is very non-aggressive to anything (except tiny nuisance snails) which I got her for in the first place. Could care less about my shrimp.

A very fat and happy wrasse:

I read that they can be aggressive with timid fish. My jawfish and watchman are really timid...ahh picking a new fish is very hard, most are aggressive!

Trust me, they can stand their own....they may seem timid but watch what they do if/when something invades their territory :) Mine hasn't been aggressive towards any of my fish, including my purple firefish.

As amcarigg said any different fish can have different characteristics - I always think of mine as "typical" - but is obviously a very bogus assumption :p

All I can say is my sixline is totally non-agressive (maybe as it was introduced to a tank with very mature fish) - it is great fun to watch "playing" in water current - like to flip and turn in it. Is a very "busy" and curious fish and was a great tank addition for me. (took me about 4 years to get one, despite numbers of positive posts about them here)

But if you have doubts...forget it...there are plenty of other nice peaceful fish out there. Have you got a bi-color blenny? - another very mellow fish that is also fun to watch.

I just picked one up sunday, a Hawaiian six line wrasse and my Bicolor Pseudochromis has had it backed in the corner for two days now. If he doesn't stop I will banish him to the fuge for sell him off. The problem is going to be catching him. :-/

Pseudos are huge bullies so don't expect it to stop harassing the six line anytime soon :(

I had a little pseudo in with my six line for a while but he wouldn't stop picking at him. I moved the pseudo out and a bit later put a red parrot wrasse (i think thats what it was??) in and the six line harassed him every time he came out. Just this last weekend the parrot wrasse died :-/ (RIP
)when i was out of town, so I'm not really sure what the cause was.

Anyway, this was probably a bonehead move but i decided to give the pseudo another shot in with the wrasse. Is it likely the six line will be harassed all over again now? If so, how likely is it that it will stop?

Maybe yes and maybe no. Most likely, the pseudo will harass anything and everything that will let it.
