I am trying to take it slow, but like everyone else I always wonder about what to add next. I was thinking about a Six line. I hear they are hardy. Good for beginners. The only negative I hear is that they can be picky eaters. I read that alot of people here love em and was wondering about feeding and if lots of LR is mandatory or can you provide adequate diet needs with only about 10lb of LR.

I thought I read somewhere that they required live feeder shrimp?

Never heard of that. They will readily accept prepared foods. They like to eat pods though. They are constantly scouring rocks for live goodies. Also have been known to help control nuisance worms.

very cool. Thanks for the reply. I thought they were strict carnivores and would not accept flake food. I'll keep that in mind.

I got the same notion from looking at websites that sold fish. Many mention they may be picky eaters at first and that you should offer live feeder shrimp. I had asked the same question a few months back and the responders said the same thing, that they have never had any problems feeding them.

If you buy one locally, just check that it eats and what it eats before you buy it. Ask someone at the store to feed it for you, so you can watch it eat.
