ALL wrasses are jumpers. A tank cover with 1/4" mesh is a REQUIREMENT.

Adding one last is the safest approach, but it's likely you'll never be able to add anything ever again.

See the link in my signature regarding reef-safe wrasses.

I have had one for about a year and a half. to my existing fish, I have had zero issues out of the fat bastage but when I added a melanarus wrasse or some other fish, he did a very good job of pestering them into the overflows. 4 months since the Melanarus addition, I still catch the 6 line chasing and harassing. but overall, a good fish in my 180.

    Thanks guys,

I think I might skip the sixline.

    Currently in my 55g is:
    -flame angel
    -oscellaris clown pair
-2 really small blue reef chromis

    I'm looking at adding a few more fish, these are the current list I am considering;
    -2 bangaii cardinals
    -jawfish
    -goby/shrimp pair
    -royal dotty

You can have my sixline for free. All you got to do is come catch it for me. Agressive little bugger. He picked on my hogfish to death. RIP
Also, if you ever want a mandarin, the sixline will out compete him and eat all the pods while your mandarin starves to death.

As for the cardinals, i think they do best in large groups. I tried two and one just picked on the other one. I would recommend a firefish goby. Beautiful fish. You could also try to add some more chromis, but they can be difficult to keep in small groups as well. The dominant one will always pick on the rest until only a few are left.

IMO skip it or risk a full rockwork take down and reinstall to remove it. There seem to be many more devil stories of them than positives, which is a general rule with info. Negative travels much better than positive.

I think I will. What do you guys think about the other fish I suggested, what would you add out of those.

sounds real close to ok, I'd just add slowly and watch how your tank likes it.

you have fish at different levels, just that will be close to maxing out the tank.

Awesome. I think I'll go get some more live rock first and start a bigger stack and get some rubble for the jaw fish to make a cave and have the rubble right out the front so I can see it lol.

Then move onto maybe a small watchman goby and pistol shrimp pair and then a dotty and I'll probably be done.

We have a sixer in our BC29 and haven't had any problems yet. He's been in there about a year. I've never heard that they had a habit of becoming aggressive after a year or more of being a good citizen. Good to know.
