Any suggestions on what size I should plan for a QT? I like tangs and at some point will probably need to QT 6" tangs.

If you want a large water volume you can't go wrong with a 35 - 55 gallon rubbermaid container from walmart for about 8 bucks.

But if you want an actual tank, it would depend on what you want to spend. If the QT isn't going to be drastically long you can prolly get away with a 20g long or maybe even smaller (if you want to push it) for a tang that size. If you QT multiple fish at a time you'll obviously need more aquarium for em.

Okay I see that this is going to be a 550 salt right? For it I have no idea on how many you would be putting in qt at time s but i agree for the rubbermaid tubs. Save money there and spend it where its much more needed! Keep us posted! K+
