Skimmate after 48 hours, normal?

As you see, i'm skimming dry and this is what i get after 48 hours.



This is a venturi skimmer right?



If the skimmate is indeed too little, Please advise on how i should tweak my skimmer. Increase air flow or water etc

Is the foam skimmate supposed to condense into liquid form like this?

Yes, yheartsp. That's exactly how a protein skimmer works.

 

mine doesn't ! is it because i'm skimming too dry? mine's all foam !

The bubbles never pop and turn to liquid?

 

Nope they do not! that's why i feel weird about it

 

Try running a little wet. It's trial end error getting it the way you want. You will be messing with the settings on your skimmer for awhile before you are completely happy with it.

 

How do i run it wetter? controlling the water valve and making the water level higher or reducing the air intake? :
Is my skimmate normal??
