I'd like to upgrade my skimmer <my old one is one of my LFS brand, not too good>. I have 125 reef with 3 Tangs <Hippo, Powder and Yellow>, Maroon Clown, Mandarin Goby,Neon Dotyback,Flame Angel>.With DIY sump, I could not do 4' as I want to so it is 3' with fuge. Only option for me is space saver from Octopus <foot print 9,5x7,5> mp undernith skimmer. What you guys think is xp1000 <rated for up to 125 enaugh?> or should i go with bigger Xp 2000 up to 180/?Yes I know i should go with bigger but money is the issue and foot print is bigger..

The Octo 2000 would definitely be better suited for you over the 1000.

I am in love with my Aquamaxx 250. I, like you, was a bit short on room. You don't have room for the 250, but the 200 might work nicely for you. I don't recall the footprint off the top of my head.

Either one would be good, but I always recommend the largest thing ya can fit in your sump ;p

Some say that SWC have better pumps than Reef Octo, but I personally love my reef octo.
