I got in a phos reactor and hooked it up.
Now my skimmer has reverted to a "pre-break in" state where all the bubbles pop at the base of the column.

Has anyone else experinced this? Oh the media is Rowa phos if that matters...

    Cheers,
    Bunner

I recently added a Phosban reactor too... but I used the TLF Phosban media. I don't recall there being any impact on my skimmer's performance or bubble column.

Perhaps it's related to the Rowaphos media? I know it's packaged wet whereas the Phosban media is packaged dry. Not sure if that would have any impact...

Many times foreign substances or should I say certain substances can cause shimmers to stop producing for a short time. Give a day or so and it will probably resettle.

Many times when you add new equipment, fine dust, oil or grease residue is left on the part. This caused the bubble to break when they reach the surface. My guess is that it is the reactor itself. Give it some time, a water change may help.

The surface tension of the water is altered it will come back ,Proberley does the samething when you feed the fish. I can put a finger in the water and skimmer will go flat almost. I use Rowphas all the time did you rinse it out well ?
