Hi all..im currently supplementing red sea reef fdn abc plus which is excellent by the way and all my corals are better than ever.
I wasn't sure if the skimmer or the carbon were affecting the supplement.
Should I switch off skimmer and carbon filter whilst dosing?
Also it has brought my alk down to 6.2 but corals are 20 times better at the mo:confused:
    Should I buffer alk separately
    Thanks in advance

No, skimmers and GAC do not remove supplements. Do ensure, however, that you add them slowly in a high-flow area for best dispersion.

Yes, your alk should be buffered separately.
