Hey, Has anyone ever used the brand, ASM Skimmers? I was looking at the mini-G skimmer and also the Coralife needle wheel skimmer (the smallest one)

Which one of theses would you recommend!

I haven't heard much about the Coral life. But if you go with the ASM I would get a G2 at least. I have heard the mini G pulls nothing out. I ram a G3 and loved it

I have a coralife 220 for my main tank (120g) and the smaller coralife 165 for my 20g.

They both work great, are quiet, and pull out some really nasty stuff. I cleaned out my 220's collection cup last week and the nasty stuff felt like mud.

As well, for the $$$ they are a great buy.

I have heard very good things about the coralife skimmers, not much about the asm. Aqua c remora's are very good as well and are in the same price range of the coralife. The remora is plug n play, easy to use, easy to clean, the company is great... if u go this route I would get it with the maxi jet 1200 not the rio pump. It's considered noisy but to be honest it's not that bad. I get more annoyed with the trickle of water from my filter.

The Remora Aqua C is truly a plug and play item. Out of the box, rinsed it with warm water and stuck it in the tank. No adjustments or calibrations to do. Skimmers for Dummies!!:tongue4: That is what I like!

Is this the right coralife skimmer?

I was going to go with the remora, after reading this thread and looking at the prices i decided to go with the coralife for a 65 gallon tank. I put a picture below just to make sure that this is the skimmer everyone was saying was pretty good. Is this the skimmer you were all talking about? All the sellers on ebay were describing it as being a little different than how it was described on here so i just wanted to make sure it was the right one. Thanks.
