Hi!  I have come across this "test" comparison of different skimmers..

    http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5624

While I think there are some issues with the "scientific method" it is likely as close as we hobbiest will get.  It has just started so they have lots of testing yet to do..

Since there are always so many skimmer questions, I thought I would link to it for any interested parties ;D 8)

Great thread BL!!! Makes me really appreciate the skimmer that I built. It took a little modifying but it is producing ugly, stinky, green, oily, sludgy, did i say stinky skimate!!! And for pennies a cup!! Maybe I should enter it in the competition (just kidding). ;)

This is a great way to see a lot of products in action thanks for the link. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Speaking of skimmer comparisons how would you compare your Red Sea to the new AquaC

The Aqua C is better, but not by light years. I had upgraded the pump on my Red Sea to a Mag 9.5 and it perfomed admirably.

I get more skimmate with the Aqua C but am running it a bit wetter. It is easier to adjust the consistency of the skimmate with the Aquac. :D
