Skimmer for 125g fowlr (Reef octopus)

    5.5-6.5 inches works best. I had it at 8 inches and it would randomly erupt.

    what if u adjust the water level? and wat if i keep the skimmer in the part where the waterlevel never changes?///

    I had to make a platform to get it to the right level. When I had it in 8inches it would randomly decided to overflow after being dialed in for weeks. At 6 inches its been locked on set it and forget it.

    Its gona be a problem for me then, since i dont have height, and i needed some space in my sump for a refuge or keeping new fish in the sump. i just have 25" height, and the skimmer is 22". im confused..... any other skimmer i can go for? i need atleast 8" of water level in sump.

    Just build something for the skimmer to stand on to raise it up as Alex already said. An acrylic box, egg crate, etc. Doesn't have to be anything too fancy, although I know there are some manufactured ones out there.

    problem is i have 25" of space, and skimmer height is 22". ill atleast need 1" of space, to remove the collection cup.....

    Oh ok, I missed that part, sorry. I have no idea how it works over there, but you can't order anything at all online? (i.e. no other way to get any other skimmers at all)

    Shipping costs a bomb, + if it gets spoilt, then again sending n stuff. i can go for BOYU DG 2524, any reviews on it?

    If you install a vented "T" section to the return you can run the SRO in deeper water, I did this to my 5000INT and run it in 9" of water depth with no problems
