    Depends on what you want to spend and your bioload, asm's are good lower priced skimmers.

    Reef Octopus. They work, they aren't overpriced and it's strong enough to last you through an upgrade. I would suggest getting one that's rated for about 1.5x your actual system volume. It will save you a lot of headaches down the road.

    In my 210g I'm using the SRO 3000int and I LOVE it, it is reliable and pulls a ton of gunk.

    Agreed 100% - I've owned a couple and they work very well, especially for the $ you spend on them.

    Bang for buck would be Vertex IN series... you would need a 280. Bubble Magus gives good results for the money... but not too sure about a 210. Octopus has plenty of options in a variety of price points.

    How to close to the limit of the 3000 do you think you are? I am on the fence between a 3000 and a 5000, I have a queen trigger and a grouper. They are both messy and eat only meat(scallops, shrimp and silversides)
