Im wanting to purchase a skimmer this weekend and was wondering if anyone could recommend something decent for a 37g with about 12 gallons in my sump? Im not looking for the cheapest deal, nor to break the bank. Thanks in advance for any help.

You will need to measure the skimmer area to see how big a skimmer you can place in there comfortably. You will also need to know how high the water in the skimmer section is.These will help determine what skimmer will fit.;)

    Thanks Vinny.
Opting for an overflow box, magfloat, and a spare thermometer this week instead. (And a bunch of school clothes) I guess a good return pump should come next, any suggestions?...still nothing living to the eye but I can wait! crosses fingers...I have a 20 long that I will use as a sump but I havent made the partitions yet. Im going to get some silicone and cut some glass for the panels.

    I would seriously consider drilling.

Wow I actually agree with Alex this time.:p;D
Overflows work and there are many here who use them.I wouldn't.
7-9 inches of water depth is usually ideal for most skimmers.
I would purchase the skimmer before assembling the baffles so you can see exactly how much room you need. They come in many different sizes and a space saver would be ideal for your setup.I don't like to recommend brands because I have only personally used three and one (Jon!!!!!!!) is not being produced anymore. Other members with similar sized tanks should chime in.;)
