Skimmer for a 20 gallon- worth the investment?

    How is its effectiveness at removing precursors to nitrate relative to water changes or just in general?

    Some people swear by them others dont. I personaly could go either way, but if I didnt have my skimmer I would up my water changes. I like that the skimmer gives me a little room to play.

    Getting a skimmer shouldnt mean you dont do water changes at all, because they do more than just export nutrients.

    I currently running at vertex IN80 on my 27 gallon....overkill? yeah, i suppose so.
