hi i just tried to glue some frags with some gel glue i bought from the hardware store thinking it would be fine and after trying to stick a few frags i noticed my skimmer going crazy and bubbling real hard nonstop. Im thinking im going to do a 5 gallon change on my 60 gallon tank immediately. I checked nitrates and phosphates and the tank is fine as of now. anyone know if this is a bad thing happening and i should do even more of a water change? anyone have something like this happen to them? my corals began spitting out a ton of stringy bubbles. I dont want to have just killed my whole tank some reassurance would be great thanks. The glue i used i cannot remember the brand name but it was the color red in a blue bottle.

help please i am worried and dont want to have nuked my whole tank. should i just leave the skimmer off? its producing so many bubbles...or should i let it run because of some possible nasty chemicals in the water from the super glue?

no just let it run it will clear itself. do a small water change to speed things up a little. I pretty sure you dont have anything to worry about.

Please feel free to correct me if im wrong

If it's cyanoacrylate you should be fine. If you need some peace of mind run some extra carbon for a few days.

Yeah superglue gel is fine if thats what you used. I have a 5g with no skimmer or carbon and I used about 1/2 tube right in the tank last week, lol. Everything is just fine.
