Skimmer going nuts!

My Aqua C EV-180 which has been running great.recently started spewing foam like a rabid dog! I cant get it to stop Ive cleaned it and the pump.As soon as i plug it in it over flows. Messed with the air valve and water valve too(no luck)Its putting so much micro bubbles into the main that i had to unplug it.
Any help you guys can give?

looks like you used an additive or dechlor that shouldn't be used with the skimmer on. Did you use anything recently, or did this just spew up outa no where?

 

Did you use soap and water to clean this?
use some good carbon or a poly filter to clean the water or some chemi pure

 

Looks to me like outflow line is restricting flow somehow...try opening up water exit gate valve some more if you can...look for blockage in outfow line/pipe (if you have one)...

No additives like you mentioned ( or soap )LOL just the two part CA/alk.the out flow is kind of being blocked by the float valve though its wide open it has been like that for a while and operated just fine.Ill remove it and see if that helps.

I let it run with the air valve barely open to where it was just starting to bubble.When i can home last night there was decent foam production in the tower and skimmate .(not over flowing) and the micro bubbles are gone. Im just stummped as to why the change and if that air valve setting is now where it needs to be. Worried about bumping it open more then having an overflow.

 

did you happen to use SAT recently like in the last 2 weeks

 

foam has stopped altogether ill open the air valve wide see if it starts producing foam.
