skimmer gone crazy help!!

    so i just got a small filter sock to reduce micro bubbles and catch stuff from my overflow, when i put it in the sump my skimmer went crazy producing bazillions of bubbles and over flowing.?

    why is this.?

    Must have been something on the sock. Did you rinse it out before you put it in the tank????
