    OK. The only thing else I can think of is to take it out and clean it. Or,... did you recently place any oils (like from your skin) or to much coral or fish food? Skimmer could just be doing it's job and trying to keep up. Make sure there is no way a snail or algae or something got into the output tube.


    * How deep is the water it's sitting in?

    its sitting in about of 8 inches of water
    its still cycling so i havent fed anything
    but its still foaming alot

    8" sounds good. I don't know what else to say without tinkering with it. Have you tried to clean it yet? BTW, it's not necessary to run a skimmer during the cycle.

    oh ok well i did turn it off and so tomorrow i will clean it.
