Skimmer in sump or out ??????

    I just got my new tank a few weeks ago but had to go out of town before I could start on it. Well I am back and I am ready to go. A few questions?

    1. My new tank came with a PM fuge and I like it but I dont have anyhwere to put my skimmer in sump. I was wondering if it made a difference to have your skimmer in or out of water. I have the aqua cv 120 with a waste container.

    Below are pictures of the fuge and the skimmer.

    Don't see any pics?
    It seems to me you can get much better quality and more effecient in sump skimmers than HOB style. not saying there aren't any good HOB skimmers, I just think you're much more limited.

    you could plumb it on the outside no problem.have the return drain back into the sump thru a bulkhead.
