Skimmer Issue

I have a Coralife Super Needle 125 and the past month it has stopped skimming or slowed down skimming. I've taken it apart cleaned it numerous times, emptied out the chamber and wiped it down. Yesterday I took it apart and soaked the needle and the other part (not sure what the guy at the LFS called it) in Vinegar for about 8 hours. The crap that was on it rubbed off nicely and I noticed there was a salt jam in tube that leads off the needle. Everything seem lovely last night but when I woke up this morning it seems like it will putter out by the time I;m home from work.

Any ideas/suggestions as to what may be wrong? I got it from my buddy used to save some money so I'm hoping it's not on its last leg already...

 

it's very possible that it could need replacements. i bought one used as well, and already had to replace the pump. it didnt quit working but was louder than normal after about a month of use. google replacement parts for coralife skimmer, you should find multiple places for the needlewheel/pumps.

 

Yeah I have noticed it's a lot louder now than when I first got it
