Skimmer Maint Needs

HI,
I have made an observation about my skimmer it may need some additional cleaning at the bubble generator.
In my unit I noticed it was exceeding the max fill level on occasion this can occur from two possiable things,
In my case a piece of substrate had entered the skimmer and had partially blocked the air flow , this allowed more water to be pushed up the skimmer's water column and made this also reduced air bubbles. Any major drop in air injection and the water will go up in the tube higher causing and overflow of the cup,
My second problem was the build up of calcium carbonate in the air hole in the skimmer's injector.
This reduced the amount of air entering the skimmer and allowed more water to be pushed up the water column.
My pumps seem to be fine its the bubble generators that load up with subtrate or calcium.
I cleaned my generator out after removing it from the pump I cleaned to tubing fitting with a finishing nail it was pretty well blocked off with calcium almost completely .
My skimmer is working at peak performance agin.
