    Hello Everyone,
My Turbo-Floater 1000 only removes 1/8 - 1/4 (of waste cup) of waste a week. My tank is a 75 with a 40 gal sump. 80lbs of LR and 100lbs of LS. The bio-load consists of, 2 peppermint shrimp, 2 sand sifting sea stars, green star polyps, scooter blennie(favorite),true percula clown, sea anemone, blue damsel, turbos, astreas, cats eye, and many blue hermits. I having a red slime problem which I believe to be the protein skimmer. The skimmer is powered by a Rio 2700 w/ needle wheel impeller and a Rio 600 for water lever. The water level is just under the bottom of the cup and the column is totally filled with bubbles. The hose for the input level is about 2 feet long. Is this to long for the input? I have checked the air hose to make sure they are not clogged. Is there any help for my skimmer or do I just think it should make more waste? Thanks for any help that is given.

i dont have any experience with that skimmer. but it looks to me like you probably just don't have much to skim. you have a great clean up crew and not a lot of fish. so your skimmer is probably working fine. imo
