Skimmer Not Skimming?

I would check your pump, it still might look like its working correctly and something might be clogging water flow.

 

Yea this sounds pretty dumb, But How would I go about doing that, What should I look for?

 

and sorry about all the questions! Im still pretty new when It comes to these things, First thing Ive had gone wrong with any of my equipment.

 

almost looks like my skimmer fromt he little of it I can see, Mine has a maxi jet pump on it as well.

 

You just take the pump out and rinse it out and clean it up. is there any way something got in the intake of the pump causing it to not suck up the proper amount of water?

 

u dont sound dumb at all i would check that valve on the airline tube the lil skinny tube twist the valve different ways see if that helps

 

No way anything could have gotten into it so I dont think that would be the problem, But Ill try checking the tube.

 

i believe the air line tubing might have come off

 

Well I checked the valve on the long skinny hose, Should it be all the way twisted shut, or should it be left open a little

 

Sooo heres a better picture of it, So maybe itll help better. (Oh and the green thing is a CD case to help lower the noise of the water dropping lol)
