My vote is the octopus skimmer. Ive always had one and there performance vs price is amazing IMO. Ive also never ever had a problem with one!

I vote for the reef octo NWB110 (2010) model! I just got this skimmer 2 months ago for my 46 BF and I love this skimmer. Awesome bang for ur buck!

I'm trying to decide between the vertex and the reef octopus for my 75g. They both seem pretty awesome, and after 3 weeks of reading reviews.... I think I might just resort to flipping a coin.

Any other suggestions for great skimmers in that price range?

Can you adjust the water level on this model. The reef octo allows you to adjust the water level making it very easy to do a wet or a dry skim! :) Something you might want to think about!
