skimmer overflow

i don't dose all at the same time i dose over a period, so maybe one time i will use coral accel and the next i shall use coral vite but i will def take a closer look. thanks

Many coral supllements are extremly rich in good fats that will shut down a skimmer for a hour or two you tune it up and when the fat in the water is gone it will suddenly foam up .
when I feed myosis shrimp my skimmer will act updue to the oily shrimp,
If you clean out your skimmer you may cause it to slow down for a few hours and then it will take off this may be due to hand oils..
Another big problem is tanks can use alot of water, I fianlly made a top-off for my sump it holds the sump at a fairly constant level due to a electric float and a pump , if you add water the skimmer will rise if you have evap the skimmer level will fall.
When you power down your water level in the sump rises to the max height when the pumps start the skimmer will start faster than the return pumps and overflow.
Fianlly set you skimmer to the lowest setting you see bubbles in the bottom of the tube (dry Skimming), this will prevent overflow when the skimmer rises and falls as bubbles build up in the skimmer exhaust tube , I ve heard mine gurgle from time to time and seen the skimmer bubble level move up and down as much as 1 inch , Wet Skimming is good but a little risky if the skimmer flucuates any. and may over flow. even in a sump it can splatter.
If your getting to much air to the impeller it can cause problems then it clears the excess ad the skimmer takes off.

im new to all this ,i just bought a 77 g tank ,im tryn to set up but my skimmer keep pumping out water out its little hose its draining my tank ,what do i do about this i got to shut it off when i go to bed or ill wake up with water everywhere so i was told keep my filter and skimmer on all the time .my tank empty i just set it up the salt in the water is at the right temp everthings good but my skimmer, i need answers please i tried to find a comfurtable level to set it but theres no use its set on the min because its takes longer to fill my 2l pepsi bottle up ,i always got to check up on it to make sure i make it there to empty before overflow ,this is not normal what do i do
