yea i think it was probably the filter sock as that is the only thing that has changed, because i've had the skimmer off for a few days until i could get a sock so today i was finally able to get one and put it on the outlet so i think that was what caused the problem

Ya man be careful... Make sure to use a drip loop next time and raise it off the floor... Saltwater and voltage don't mix well, or actually... They do very well! lol:-/

    Best of luck

yea i'm being careful i made sure everything was unplugged, and i'll probably just toss the electrical cord even though water didn't actually come inside it but it was sure close

Wow, sorry to hear :(. Back pressure from the sock prob sent water to high in the skimmer. I guess that is another great benefit of a sump, if the water does flow over it goes back into the tank. Sheesh sounds like those bubbles are gonna have to stay for a while.

hahaha lol my dad was saying if i die to let them know and come an haunt them

lol the skimmer better not cause the house to catch on fire, my parents just had it redone and spent close to $100k on the renovations. And yes i have a smoke detector in my room :)

I'm just glad my firefish isint here! this commotion would have stressed it out and probably died, i just have to get everything fixed by wednesday
